Kazura Bridge in the unexplored region of Iya, where the sad story of the Heike clan is hidden. It is made of white vine (about 5 tons in weight), 45m long, 2m wide, and 14m above the water surface. In the past, it was the only transportation facility in the deep mountain valley area. The bridge is replaced every three years. (February 3, 1955 nationally designated folk cultural property) |
