Yakatazaki Yuhi no Oka, which appeared in the movie "Twenty-Four Eyes" released in 1954, is located across the sea from Ushimado, Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture. It is in a good location overlooking Kurashiki city. Since 2013, local volunteers have been working to restore and preserve the landscape. Currently, about 200 apricots and about 200 lemons are planted in the same area without pesticides. The trees have already matured and were harvested in 2017 and 2018. In addition, a wooden signboard, a wooden deck (light up at night), a bamboo fence, and stone tables and chairs have been placed on the site so that everyone from local residents to tourists can spend a relaxing time here.
